Money Management Institute Hosts Sold-Out Inaugural Opening Doors Golf Classic

Wednesday, August 31, 2022

NEW YORK, NY, August 31, 2022 – The Money Management Institute’s (MMI) sold-out inaugural Opening Doors Golf Classic held yesterday at Hudson National Golf Club recognized diversity, equity, and inclusion in the financial services industry through its support of MMI’s Gateway Foundation. By tapping into MMI's vast network of industry member firms, the Gateway Foundation, a nonprofit organization, can initiate sweeping changes that enable us to make the goal of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion a reality through preparation, education, and skill development.

The highly successful event, which was sponsored by 21 financial services firms, raised money to support the expansion of the Gateway Foundation's reach and impact. Through its fundraising efforts Gateway supports strategic campaigns in financial literacy for underserved communities, talent development for entry-level professionals, and recruitment and retention of mid-career professionals.

Following the day's golf event, an evening reception and dinner brought together industry professionals and diversity and inclusion advocates who are committed to a more inclusion future. Rosa Jones, APGA Tour Fellow, provided opening remarks about bringing greater diversity to the game of golf.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the sponsors and participants for their support in significantly helping move the Gateway Foundation forward:
