Money Management Institute Announces New Officers, Executive Committee Members, and Governors

NEW YORK, NY, May 2, 2022 – The Money Management Institute (MMI) today announced the election of its new Officers and Executive Committee Members for 2022‐2023, as well as six additions to its Board of Governors. All changes were effective May 1st.

The MMI Board has elected Noreen Beaman, Vice Chair Board of Directors at Orion Advisor Solutions, as Secretary and Future Chair (2025). She joins Keith Glenfield, Managing Director, Head of Investment Products at Bank of America, who became Chair in 2022, Chair-Elect Eric Koestner, Principal, Investment Advisory at Edward Jones, and Treasurer Anne Steer, Head of Distribution at Congress Asset Management. Troy Thornton, Managing Director, Head of U.S. Retail Distribution at Goldman Sachs Asset Management completes his term as Chair and will now serve as Chair Emeritus.

One important example is MMI’s leadership role in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that affect our industry as well as the communities we serve. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow officers, Executive Committee members, the MMI Board, and all our members in these efforts over the coming year.”

There are three newly named members of the MMI Executive Committee for 2022-2023:

  • Jill Brown, Managing Director of US Wealth, Principal Funds Distributor
  • Brendan Clark, CEO, Clark Capital Management Group
  • Brett Wright, Senior Managing Director, Head of Client Solutions Group Americas’, Macquarie Asset Management

They join continuing Executive Committee members Robbie Cannon, Founder of Horizon Investments, Matt Huss, Senior Vice President, General Manager - Advisory Solutions at Ameriprise Financial Services, Tom Morelli, U.S. Intermediaries, Head of Wealth Management Distribution at T. Rowe Price, and MMI Officers Troy Thornton, Keith Glenfield, Eric Koestner, Anne Steer, Noreen Beaman, and MMI President and CEO Craig Pfeiffer.

We thank Jim Devaney, U.S. Distribution Head at PGIM Investments, and Jeff Dowdle, Chief Operating Officer at Raymond James Financial, for their contributions and service on the Executive Committee.

Six firms have been elected to the MMI Board as part of a Board rotation policy that gives more member firms the opportunity to participate in MMI leadership. The new firms being added to the Board and their representatives are:

  • Archer: Matt Caulfield, Chief Revenue Officer
  • iCapital Network: Steve Houston, Head of Investment Products & Research
  • Goldman Sachs Asset Management: Troy Thornton, Managing Director, Head of U.S. Retail Distribution 
  • Neuberger Berman: Scott Kilgallen, Managing Director, Head of North American Intermediary
  • Ramirez Asset Management: James Haddon, Managing Director, Head of Strategic Marketing
  • Schroders Investment Management: Joel Schiffman, Head of Intermediary Distribution, North America

Additional MMI Board changes announced today:

  • Jeff Kletti, SVP Private Wealth Management at Wells Fargo replaces Patty Loepker Head of Managed Solutions & Investment Implementation at Wells Fargo
  • Matt Goulet, Head of Asset Manager Services & Business Development at Fidelity Institutional, replaces Ram Subramaniam, President at Fidelity Brokerage Services
  • Rob Pettman, EVP, Wealth Management Solutions at LPL Financial replaces Burt Wright, Director, Chief Investment Officer, Investor & Investment Solutions at LPL Financial
