MMI Summit 2020

A Virtual Experience

Co-Chairs:
Eric Koestner,
Principal, Packaged Products, Edward Jones
Sue Thompson, Executive Vice President, Head of SPDR Americas Distribution, State Street Global Advisors

Money Management Institute is committed to deliver insightful and actionable content and help members stay connected as we navigate these unprecedented times. Understandably, we had to cancel the MMI Summit 2020 in-person conference in Orlando.

About the Virtual Experience
MMI is excited to announce MMI Summit 2020: A Virtual Experience! Starting in April and lasting through May, we’ll be delivering to you all the great sessions and speakers that we had lined up for Summit 2020 in a series of short virtual events.

We will still have an outstanding speaker lineup focusing on the most important industry developments and how they impact growth strategy, leadership management and execution, and bottom-line results, but now through a completely virtual experience.

The 2020 Program
Expectations are higher than ever in the advice business – on all fronts. What once was considered “wow” factor is now table stakes. Firm budgets will be challenged. How can wealth managers, asset managers, and solutions providers deliver an outstanding – and differentiated – client experience as needs and preferences evolve rapidly?

MMI’s virtual sessions will examine The Value-Add Imperative from all sides, sharing expert insights, diverse perspectives, and new approaches to enhance the value proposition of every stage and experience – and all participants – in the advice delivery chain.

Gateway to Leadership Foundation Golf Outing Fundraiser: Wednesday, March 25

Kick off the Summit early and enjoy a round of golf with your industry colleagues. All levels of golfers are welcome for this charitable outing to benefit Gateway to Leadership.

WHAT: Gateway to Leadership, a 501c3 organization administered by MMI, supports a variety of programs to foster career awareness and workforce readiness for students of color from historically underrepresented communities, particularly African Americans and Hispanics, seeking employment opportunities in the financial services industry.

WHERE: Onsite at the Omni Orlando Resort at the championship International Course designed by accomplished architect and golfer Greg Norman. Recently ranked no. 9 in the top overall ranked courses by GOLF Advisor, the International Course provides an authentic link-style experience, reminiscent of the great golf courses of the British Isles.

WHEN: Wednesday, March 25
Tee time is approximately 12:00pm. For members of the MMI Board of Governors and Leadership Pathway program, we will have you back to the hotel in time for your joint function.

PARTICIPATION: The cost to participate in the outing is $350 per person – 50% of that amount is tax deductible as a donation to Gateway. Included with the outing are:

  • Greens fees and cart fees (club rentals are available for an extra fee)
  • Box lunch, special contests, and appetizers/beverage post round
